Activities will take place at the Essington Seaplane Base including a picnic and a history event celebrating 100 years of aviation at this location. There will be activities and displays all day and we will have a picnic around noon and then again around 5:00.

The Aero Club of PA is planning a fly out to Eagles Mere Air Museum on October 4, departing the Philadelphia area around 11AM. We will arrive around noon and return late-afternoon. We expect to eat lunch just after arrival.
If you plan to fly your aircraft, we’d like to get airplane details and headcount and want to know if you have room for more passengers. Of course, anyone is free to make the scenic drive, too. Contact us at mailbox@aeroclubpa.org.
This year, the museum has opened an automobile museum. We recommend a donation or entrance fee be made to the museum. http://eaglesmereairmuseum.org
The Essington Seaplane Base near Philadelphia has been operating since 1915 when it was established by members of the Aero Club of Pennsylvania. Although activity at the base has been limited in recent years, it is still a licensed seaplane base, owned by the township. We will be celebrating a century of seaplane flying with a splash-in, in concert with a community day and flea market at the nearby Governor Printz Park, two blocks west.

On Thursday, July 9, 2015. the Aero Club will be the guests of AgustaWestland for a dinner and private tour of this helicopter manufacturing facility at the Philadelphia Northeast Airport. Members and guests are welcome to attend (U.S. citizens only). Arrive around 7PM. Dinner begins at 7:30PM. The tour and dinner costs $25 per person. Fly in traffic is allowed if we get your aircraft type and N-number (ok to drive if weather is bad).
AgustaWestland at Philadelphia operates a 275,000 square foot facility at Northeast Philadelphia Airport, assembling the AW119Kx and AW139 helicopters. The facility will also produce the first civil tilt-rotor aircraft, the AW609. The tour will see the first AW609 production-quality prototype nearing completion. We will also visit the flight line to see where completed aircraft are flight tested prior to customer delivery.

The Aero Club of Pennsylvania Memorial Scholarship Fund and the Eastern PA Chapter of the Ninety-Nines present the Annual Scholarship Awards Dinner.
Join us at the Philadelphia Aviation Country Club at Wings Field in Blue Bell, PA to help give away scholarships to young men and women interesting in careers in aviation.
Cash Bar 6PM, Dinner 7PM
Tour: American Helicopter Museum
The Aero Club will have a private tour on Saturday, May 30, at the American Helicopter Museum at Brandywine Airport. We will arrive at 10AM and finish by 1:30. The event will include guided tours and a presentation by Fred Piasecki. Price for the tour will be $15 per person. Fly-in traffic is welcome.
Attendees will also be offered a large discount on museum membership, which is normally $50. The museum will discount that to $25, plus $8 credit from the tour fee, for a total of just $18.
The Museum is located on the north side of the airport at 1220 American Boulevard, West Chester, PA. Plan to arrive by 10AM so as not to miss Fred’s presentation which will start soon after.
