For over 60 years, the Aero Club of Pennsylvania has been awarding aviation training scholarships. Our goal is to encourage and support young men and women with
their goals toward an aviation career.
2010 Scholarship period is over. See you in 2011.
Detailed Requirements »
Scholarships are available to men and women who meet these requirements:
- Must have reached the point of first solo, for aviation flight training scholarships OR
- Must demonstrate an equivalent commitment, for maintenance training scholarships.
- Must reside in the Philadelphia, Greater Delaware Valley area
- Must be available for a personal interview with the
Scholarship Review Board
- If selected for an award, must attend the Scholarship Awards Dinner in June
Applications must be returned with the following:
- Two letters of recommendation
- A transcript of your most recent education
- A 500-word typed essay
- For flight scholarships, copies of all aviation licenses and medical certificate, and
the last three pages of your logbook
- For maintenance scholarships, proof of enrollment in an accredited A&P program or FAR Part 147 school must be included.
Unsuccessful candidates are encouraged to re-apply the next year. Note that scholarships are rewarded in the form of reimbursement for
training once we receive appropriate receipts.
