To receive a copy of the 2012 Application Form, applicants are requested to send a simple "email of intent" to aeroclubpa@gmail.com by April 15. We will send an application, to be completed in full and submitted by April 30.

A few flight training scholarships are available to applicants who have not yet begun flight training or who have not completed their first solo.

Most scholarships are available to men and women who meet these requirements:

1. Must have reached the point of first solo, for most aviation flight training scholarships OR
2. Must demonstrate an equivalent commitment, for maintenance or other aviation-related training scholarships.
3. Must reside in the Philadelphia, Greater Delaware Valley area
4. Must be available for a personal interview with the Scholarship Review Board
5. If selected for an award, must attend the Scholarship Awards Dinner in June

Applications must be returned with the following:

1. Two letters of recommendation
2. A transcript of your most recent education
3. A 500-word typed essay
4. For flight scholarships, copies of all aviation licenses and medical certificate, and the last two pages of your logbook
5. For maintenance scholarships, proof of enrollment in an accredited A&P program or FAR Part 147 school must be included.

Unsuccessful candidates are encouraged to re-apply the next year. Note that scholarships are rewarded in the form of reimbursement with appropriate receipts OR can be awarded to the recipients training facility of choice to be used on account.
